Hunter Corbitt will start in the SPEARS Modified Series race at Kern County Raceway on June 29th driving the #24 Garcia Racing Bowman Asphalt Modified.
This will be Corbitt's first official start at Kern County Raceway and only his second half-mile track start. Corbitt was scheduled to race at the Kern County Showdown in February, but engine trouble sidelined the car. In the previous SPEARS Modified race in Madera, Corbitt qualified pole. After being involved in multiple incidents, the Garcia Racing driver salvaged a 4th place finish. Bowman Asphalt will be represented on the #24 car at Kern County Raceway. On June 8th, Hunter Corbitt will start in the SPEARS Modified Series at Madera Speedway, driving for Garcia Racing.
Corbitt has raced at Madera Speedway before, showing great speed in both a Late Model and Legend car. This will be his first start in a modified at this track. This will be Corbitt's second start in the SPEARS Modified Series. His most recent race with the series came at Irwindale Speedway, where he finished 9th overall. Proscapes Landscapes, Pools, and Designs is proud to be represented by Hunter Corbitt at Madera Speedway. Proscapes specializes in residential landscaping and swimming pool installation. Hunter Corbitt will start in the Spears Modified Series at Irwindale Speedway on March 23rd. This will be Corbitt's second official modified start and first start in the Spears Modified Series. Additionally, it will be Corbitt's first start at Irwindale Speedway.
Hunter Corbitt will be making his second official start for Garcia Racing. Early into Friday's test prior to Saturday's race, the team ran into engine trouble early in the day and lost all power shortly after. Because of this, the #72 Bowman Asphalt Garcia Racing Modified did not start.
